I am walking on the path
towards the setting sun,
becoming stronger and wiser.
I am walking on the path
towards the heart,
becoming calmer and kinder.
I am walking on this path
further, always further.
I have a hope
to become one with all people,
to become love.
Katharina Wehrli, 1991
The goal of yoga is to link personal consciousness with infinite consciousness. This promotes inner peace, deep joy, healing, and longevity. Yoga practitioners learn how to develop one-pointed-concentration. The experience of amplified subtle energy currents and calmness enables them to validate the presence of their inner soul reality. When mastered, this liberates the practitioner's consciousness toward immortality.
In their conduct yoga practitioners embrace all that is good, and exclude everything else through mastery over their body, mind, and emotions. Accomplished yogis control their breath and even know how to stop the heartbeat. They direct their consciousness to the realms beyond the five senses, and thus unite with spirit at any time they so desire. Today most people on the planet have no frame of reference for such concepts. Nevertheless, yoga has become immensely popular.
In its essence yoga is a sacred practice. It is a great priviledge to have these teachings so readily available. And they are needed as perhaps never before. In a world out of balance people greatly benefit from achieving inner peace and calmness through their own effort.

Without losing the momentum nor curtailing the inherent zest of the discipline, Katharina's yoga classes and workshops are geared toward the students' personal experience. They are designed for the active person of today's Western world. Yoga is effective to reduce stress. The classes incorporate gentle stretching and aerobic workout, as well as body locks and postures. Since all exercises are done in coordination with the breath, they are very safe with minimal risk of injury. Students are directed to walk the fine line between pushing too hard and not trying hard enough. The result is a felt sense of exaltation, balance, trust, strength, calmness, and wellbeing. Meditation, mantra, chanting, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques are all part of the practice. Yoga sets are designed to work on specific body compositions, such as the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, endocrine, or reproductive system. Additionally each set helps to balance emotional as well as mental patterns, and works toward greater awareness and centeredness.

Participants explore their potential for rejuvenation and healing through the application of specific yoga kriyas and powerful chanting. Everyone in the Healing Circle gets a chance to lie down in the middle of the circle in deep relaxation. Through hand positions and chanting the group directs healing energy to the participants resting in the center. The participants' pure intent focussed through celestial communication and the power of chanting can lead to profound change or spontaneous healing. An open mind along with the willingness to accept the energy is all that is required from those in the middle of the circle.
Prosperity is the ability to attract opportunities without attachment. It is not how much money or goods we possess, but what we can acquire at will that decides how successful we really are. The yoga sets and special chants focus on the inherent ability to attract the necessary circumstances and material resources. The chants are tailored to release blockages in the life current and defensive mental attitudes. They increase awareness, and restore integrity and flow of the life force through body and mind. By growing rich in kindness and wisdom, prosperity chants help us realize our infinite soul nature.
In yogic philosophy Solstice and Equinox are special days. The celestial energies can act as a catalyst for change and purification of body, mind, and soul. On these days it is appropriate to reflect on the past season and look ahead to the coming one. Much of these workshops is dedicated to chanting. Special chants are used only in this context for the purpose of drawing new opportunities into our lives. A yoga set prepares for chanting. Furthermore, partner exercises help participants to focus and formulate their desire for change. Their personalized goals are energized through the chants.
Just like in a regular class, specifically designed prenatal yoga and meditation classes incorporate all aspects of yoga. However, the distinct emphasis is on meeting the needs of women during pregnancy. The focus of these classes is on particular postures, breathing exercises, and special meditations for pregnancy, labor and birth.
Instruction for postnatal yoga starts with easy exercises and rejuvenating meditations. It continues with specific exercises that revitalize, and help tone and strengthen the body to reclaim its former shape. Postnatal yoga is taught individually within a couple of sessions. Approximately three to four months after delivery women generally are ready to join a regular class again.
With the use of yogic numerology a personalized yoga routine suited to the student's needs is designed and taught during an individual lesson. Yogic numerology is based on a system of numbers ranging from one to eleven. Every person has a set of numbers describing his/her strengths and weaknesses. Some of the most important numbers to look at during a session are the soul, destiny, karma and path numbers. They reveal blockages in areas where a person needs to focus to transform from stagnation towards self realization. The student will develop a deep understanding of the specific exercises and meditations in relationship to his/her energy states on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. The insight gained during this session will help the student to consciously build commitment and focus so the necessary changes can occur.
